Telephone Broadcasting is a specialized form of our Self-Service Audio Conferencing product line wherein the same teleconferencing techniques and technologies are used to allow your congregants and outreach prospects to dial in to listen to your worship services. While the conferencing technologies themselves are the same, our Telephone Broadcasting product line adds several important features that are unique to this product and essential to the success use of the overall concept of Telephone Broadcasting:
TeleWorship will provide all of the specialized audio processing and interface equipment necessary to implement Telephone Broadcasting. Your church does NOT have to buy anything or invest in any capital equipment. TeleWorship does everything. We will buy the equipment, own it and maintain it and will exchange it if you outgrow it.
To perform a live Telephone Broadcast, all you need to provide is:
Optionally, if you want to use the real-time Moderator Application (which we recommend), you should additionally provide:
Purpose-Built Professional Audio Processing
TeleWorship has employed sophisticated audio processing algorithms that will groom your audio to optimize its quality for use over telephone lines. The digital audio processing equipment we provide will digitize the audio feed you provide for broadcasting and high-performance digital signal processors (DSP) will execute specialized audio algorithms on the resulting digital signal. The types of algorithms used and the parameters that are programmed into the algorithms will be customized for your particular church and the type of audio content your worship service employs.
Once set up, the DSPs and processing algorithms continually adjust your audio signal for optimum quality for use over telephone lines. Also, the processing can be dynamically altered as your audio content changes, even during a worship service.
Choice of Telephone Interfaces
We use our interface equipment that we provide not only process your audio signals but to interconnect your church’s sound system with our network as well. We use a communications circuit to send your processed signal to our conference bridge for broadcasting to anyone who dials in. This communications circuit is called an uplink.
Depending on your church’s anticipated usage and goals, we can provide any of three different types of interface equipment so you can use any of three types of uplink networks.
POTS line are the most common and most widely used to uplink signals to our system. POTS lines are very inexpensive and sufficient to task.
You can also consider using digital ISDN lines for Telephone Broadcasting. ISDN lines are only slight more expensive (your telephone company will charge your church more for these types of telephone lines) and the interface equipment costs more. However, while the use of ISDN is more expensive, it is an entirely digital network and results in better quality. Since the resulting overall quality is significantly better, ISDN is recommended for large churches that are potentially reaching tens of thousands of people over the course of a year with their Telephone Broadcast applications.
If ISDN lines are not available in your area or your church’s budget will not support the additional charges, analog POTS lines will do an excellent job to the limits of the quality of the analog telephone lines in your church.
Finally, if your church has high-quality broadband Internet service in your church that can provide a low-latency low-packet-loss service, we can use your Internet connection to uplink your audio for Telephone Broadcasting.
Regardless of the type of uplink interface you choose, our analog, digital and IP interfaces are professional-class equipment are of the highest professional quality and are the same equipment that are used in radio and television stations worldwide.
